god at the dog

Once a month we meet with friends from all sorts of churches locally to get together, have a drink and discuss some issues in a friendly way.

If you'd like to come then we'd love to see you at 8pm, on the first Thursday of each month. We meet at the Duke of Gloucester (the dog), University Way, Crewe.

how to be...

From July 2011 we are starting our new series of meetings at God at the Dog, entitled how to be...

We are going to consider some questions that might help us all to live more wisely. To pinch a phrase from our inspiration for this, The School of Life, we are hoping to "step back and think intelligently about these and other concerns. You will not be cornered by any dogma, but directed towards a variety of ideas - from philosophy to literature, psychology to the visual arts – that tickle, exercise and expand your mind. You’ll meet other curious, sociable and open-minded people in an atmosphere of exploration and enjoyment."

We'll have a mixture of discussion, questionnaires, challenges and other elements as we can think of them. We aren't in any way saying that we are experts and know it all, so please come and let us learn from you.
