The church was built in 1876, originally Shavington's Wesleyan Methodist Chapel.
Profile
61 members, and an average congregation of around 33, visitors are always welcome.
Bible Study groups every fortnight, and we are planning some new activities this autumn.
Strong links with St. Marks the neighbouring Anglican Church in our village.
St. John's provides the location and support for SofaChurch, a fresh expression of church.
We also have Brownies and 2 ladies' meetings during the week

We have a United service with St Marks usually on the 3rd Sunday of each month, again at 10.00am.
Additional Services
We hold Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals by arrangement with Jenny.
Special services on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Day.
